how to pay someone using payid Page 6

So, you want to pay someone using PayID, Australia's nifty way to avoid the banking black hole of BSBS and account numbers? Here’s the skinny: you just need the recipient's PayID, which could be their phone number, email, or ABN. Then, open your banking app, choose the PayID option, enter the PayID, punch in the amount, and hit send. It's like sending a text but with cash — instant, secure, and no need to remember long account strings.

Most Aussie banks, including Commonwealth, ANZ, NAB, and Westpac, support PayID payments, and it’s free or nearly free. Just make sure the recipient has linked their PayID to their bank account; otherwise, your money’s going nowhere fast. For more detailed steps, check your bank’s app or their website.
