To send someone your PayID, share the identifier you registered with your bank — usually your mobile number, email address, or ABN if it’s a business account.
Open your banking app, find PayID/Receive, and use the Share or Copy button so they get it exactly right (no rogue digits, no drama).
They pay you via their bank using Osko/NPP, and they’ll see your name preview before confirming — your cue to say “yep, that’s me”.
Only share your PayID with people you expect money from, never one-time codes, and ignore texts pretending to be banks or couriers.
Funds usually land near-instantly; wait for cleared money before handing over goods, keys, or your weekend.
If anything smells fishy, contact your bank using the official number from its website, not the one in a dodgy message.
