how to transfer rego qld Page 7

Transferring rego in Queensland is about as fun as a root canal, but alas, it must be done. First, ensure you have the buyer's details and the vehicle's registration certificate. The buyer must lodge a Transfer of Vehicle Registration form with the Department of Transport and Main Roads within 14 days of purchase to avoid penalty fees.

You'll need to provide proof of identity, the completed transfer form, and pay the transfer fee (usually around $35). Both parties should agree on any outstanding fines or tolls, as these can complicate the transfer. For more detailed instructions, consult the official Queensland government website or check listings on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for vehicles already sorted.
