hyundai i40 problems Page 259

The Hyundai i40, while generally a reliable sedan, does have its quirks that might make you reach for the jumper cables or a wrench. Common issues reported by owners include:

• Electrical gremlins, particularly with dashboard displays and sensors.
• Occasional transmission hesitation or rough shifts, especially in older models.
• Suspension wear causing a less-than-comfortable ride after high mileage.
• Rust spots appearing prematurely in certain climates.

Regular servicing through places like ServiceCentral can keep these problems at bay, but it's wise to keep a keen eye on these trouble spots if you're hunting on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for a used one.
