Ah, Hyundai's plug-in hybrids in Australia—where efficiency meets the occasional range anxiety. The standout model is the Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid, boasting a 1.6-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of around 104 kW. It offers an electric-only range of approximately 47 km, perfect for your daily commute if you’re feeling virtuous.

Prices for new models start around $40,000 AUD, while used examples can be found on sites like Tradingpost or CarShowroom for less, depending on condition and year. Fuel economy is impressive, but don’t expect miracles on the open highway. Always best to consult official Hyundai Australia specs for the nitty-gritty.
