hyundai tucson 2008 review Page 2

The 2008 Hyundai Tucson is honest, unfussy motoring: boxy on the outside, surprisingly roomy inside, and perfectly happy doing school runs and tip trips.

The ride is comfortable enough, the cabin plastics are hardy rather than posh, and the controls are so simple your nan could pair the Bluetooth—if it had it, which it probably doesn’t.

The four-cylinder is adequate for commuting; the available V6 adds a bit more shove but drinks like it’s summer at the cricket.

Light-duty gravel roads? Fine. Hardcore off-roading? Not really its scene.

Running costs and parts are friendly in Australia, and while it won’t stir your soul, it will calmly get on with the job while you argue about footy.
