is it illegal to drive barefoot vic Page 224

No, it’s not illegal to drive barefoot in Victoria; there’s no rule banning it. The law simply says you must maintain proper control of the vehicle at all times, which barefoot driving can achieve just fine. That said, thongs and stilettos can be a slippery circus, so barefoot is often safer than bad footwear. Keep pedals clean/dry, avoid loose mats, and if you’ve got sensitive soles, stash a sensible pair of shoes in the car. If pulled over, the question is control, not your toes. Consider this your permission slip from common sense, not a fashion statement.
