is parking free on public holidays

Ah, the age-old quest for free parking on public holidays. In Australia, it’s not a one-size-fits-all scenario. Many local councils do offer free parking on public holidays, but the devil’s in the details—some areas might still charge, especially in busy CBD zones or private lots. Always check the specific council’s parking rules or signage, because assuming free parking could cost you a hefty fine.

For the ultimate peace of mind, consider using apps or websites like ServiceCentral to confirm parking rules before you park your prized chariot.
