is there an annual fee for personalised number plates in qld

Yes, Queensland does charge an annual fee for personalised number plates. The fee typically runs around $85 to $120 AUD per year, depending on the type of plate you have. This is on top of the initial purchase cost which can vary widely based on the plate's desirability. If you fancy flashing your unique plate, expect a recurring cost that reminds you it’s not just vanity — it’s a subscription to being noticed. For exact and up-to-date fees, check with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads or browse listings on Tradingpost or CarShowroom.
