ISOFIX is meant to make child-seat fitting idiot-proof, which is perfect because we’re all idiots when wrestling upholstery. Find the two ISOFIX anchors between the seat base and backrest, and the top tether point (parcel shelf, seatback, or roof) — Australia mandates the tether with ISOFIX. Click the ISOFIX connectors in until you get the green indicators, then tighten so the seat moves less than about 2–2.5 cm at the belt path. Attach and tension the top tether last; slack is the enemy. Don’t mix ISOFIX and the seatbelt unless the seat explicitly allows it (most AU seats don’t). Keep bulky add-ons under control — use only accessories the seat manufacturer approves. When in doubt, read the car and seat manuals and get an accredited fitter to check your handiwork; your future rally co-driver will thank you.
