italian mastiff

The Italian Mastiff, also known as the Cane Corso, is a muscular, large breed originally bred for protection and hunting. Height: 60-70 cm; Weight: 40-50 kg. Known for their loyalty and intelligence, they make excellent guard dogs but require firm training and socialization. Expect a short, dense coat and a life span of around 10-12 years. Common issues include hip dysplasia, eye problems, and bloat, so regular vet visits are a must.

  • Hip Dysplasia
  • Entropion and Ectropion (eye conditions)
  • Bloat (gastric torsion)
