iveco daily towing caravan Page 4

The Iveco Daily is basically a tugboat with number plates, so yes, it can tow a caravan — within reason.

Most Aussie-spec Dailys are rated to a braked towing capacity up to 3,500 kg, especially the 3.0L turbo‑diesel with the Hi‑Matic 8‑speed.

Your real limit is the sums: actual vehicle mass plus caravan mass must sit below your GCM (varies by model), and you must stay within the rated towbar and ball load.

Pick a heavier GVM variant (over 4.5 t) and you may need an LR licence; add people, gear and water and your payload shrinks faster than your patience on a windy day.

Run good electric trailer brakes, consider a weight‑distribution hitch if required, and keep speeds sensible — the Hume rewards smooth drivers, not heroes.

Consult official documentation for exact figures.
