japanese car meet Page 5

Japanese car meets in Australia are equal parts rolling museum and late-night sushi train for enthusiasts.

To find one, scout Facebook groups, Instagram hashtags like #jdmaus and local forums; most meets are weekly or monthly and posted the day before.

Turn up early, keep it legal—no skids, no limiter serenades in a Bunnings car park—organisers and police are not famed for slapstick.

Bring cash for coffee, be polite, and always ask before photographing or poking around under someone’s bonnet.

If there’s a cruise, make sure your rego, tyres and lights are sorted; defect stations love an easy catch.

And always re-check the event page on the day—meets can move or cancel quicker than a warmed-up rotary.
