The Jeep Grand Cherokee L’s interior is the brand’s “grown-up” lounge: three rows, proper room, and a dash that finally looks premium rather than blokey.

Key bits include 7 seats (or 6 with captain’s chairs), Uconnect 5 with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital driver display, and an available 10.25-inch passenger screen.

Upper trims add Nappa leather, real-feel trim, tri-zone climate control, heaps of USB-A/USB-C ports in all rows, and an optional McIntosh 19-speaker audio that’s more rock concert than school run.

Storage is family-friendly, the third row is kid-okay, and road noise is nicely hushed for the highway slog to Bunbury.
