The Kia Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Australia offers a clever blend of petrol and electric power, aiming to keep your fuel stops as rare as a sunny day in London. Typically, Kia's PHEVs like the Kia Niro PHEV come with a 1.6-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of around 139 kW. The electric-only range is roughly 50 km, perfect for city commutes and pretending you're saving the planet.

New models usually start around $40,000 AUD, while used options on Tradingpost or CarShowroom can be found slightly cheaper, depending on the year and condition. Charging is straightforward with a standard Type 2 connector, though you might want to install a home charger to avoid the sad comedy of relying on public stations.

For the full specs and local pricing, consulting Kia Australia's official site or trusted dealerships is recommended—because nothing beats official paperwork when the warranty's on the line.
