kia rio discontinued australia Page 2

Short answer: yes—the Kia Rio was discontinued in Australia in 2023, with remaining stock clearing into early 2024.

Kia has nudged buyers toward the Stonic and the ever-popular Cerato to cover the small-car gap, while the tiny Picanto keeps flying the budget hatch flag.

If you want a Rio now, it’s a used-market hunt: about AUD $8k–$15k for older pre-2017 cars, and roughly $15k–$25k for late‑model, low‑km examples.

Parts and servicing remain straightforward, and Kia’s long warranty follows the car if still in date—so check the logs before handing over the folding.
