How long is a piece of string? For a Kia Sportage in Australia, wait times swing from “drive away this week” (if you hit a dealer with stock) to about 3–6 months for common trims, with top-spec or quirky colour combos sometimes nudging 6–9 months. Supply ebbs and flows by state and shipload, so timing can change month to month. Cast a wider net—ring multiple dealers, be flexible on colour/wheels, and don’t skip demo or near‑new listings on Tradingpost—to shorten the queue. Get any ETA in writing and check it regularly, because allocation shuffles are the one constant.
