The Kia Stonic is a pint-sized SUV that tackles Aussie suburbs with the enthusiasm of a kelpie on a tennis ball—light steering, tidy ride, easy parking.
The base engine is fine for commuting, while the GT-Line’s turbo adds some pep but its dual-clutch can fidget in stop‑start traffic.
Cabin quality is sensible rather than swish, yet you get the essentials—Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, decent safety kit, and that headline 7‑year warranty.
Rear space and boot are city-sized, road noise creeps in on coarse chip, and the infotainment feels a step behind newer rivals.
If you want sparkle and speed, shop elsewhere; if you want cheap-to-run reliability with minimal fuss, the Stonic’s a very honest little runabout.
