killing off chevy bolt euv

Yes—the Chevrolet Bolt EUV was quietly unplugged at the end of 2023, when GM ended Bolt EV/EUV production to retool Orion Assembly for electric pickups.

It wasn’t a vendetta against small EVs so much as a pivot to higher-margin trucks, plus retiring the older battery tech after those recall headaches.

GM has since said the Bolt nameplate will return on the Ultium platform, but specifics are scarce and an EUV-branded sequel isn’t confirmed.

So the EUV is dead-for-now, with a likely spiritual successor inbound—just don’t hold your breath for specs or dates until GM actually rolls one out.
