kona vs seltos 2023 Page 7

The 2023 Hyundai Kona and Kia Seltos are cousins raiding the same parts bin, but they’ve chosen different personalities.

The Kona leans sporty and stylish; the Seltos plays the practical card with more cabin room and a bigger boot.

• Pros: Bold design, engaging steering feel, strong safety tech and infotainment.
• Cons: Rear space and boot are merely okay; ride can feel firm on big wheels.

• Pros: Excellent practicality and visibility, calmer ride, easy-to-use controls.
• Cons: Cabin is more utilitarian; handling is competent rather than playful.

Engines and safety gear are broadly similar, so buy with your priorities—style and feel (Kona) or room and comfort (Seltos)—front of mind. Test both on the same route and see which one flatters your commute.
