lamington national park things to do Page 8

Lamington National Park is where Queensland hides its best rainforest and pretends it’s not showing off. Stretch your legs on the Border Track between Green Mountains and Binna Burra if you fancy an all-day epic, or pick shorter gems like Box Forest Circuit to Elabana Falls and the Moran Falls lookout. Tiptoe along the O’Reilly’s treetop walk, then engage stealth mode for birdwatching—Albert’s lyrebird if you’re lucky, or a very judgmental brush-turkey. Cool off by a waterfall, picnic under strangler figs, and save enough puff for sunset. Cap it with a cabin or campsite at Green Mountains or Binna Burra and call it a day well bragged about.
