The Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series tows like a champ because it’s built like a bank vault on wheels.
Key figures: Braked towing capacity: 3,500 kg; Unbraked: 750 kg; and a typical maximum towball download: 350 kg in Australia.
Remember, payload, accessories and rear‑axle limits can trim what you can legally tow, so don’t treat 3.5 tonnes as a challenge round.
Use a weight-distribution hitch only if the handbook allows, mind your GVM/GCM, and make the trailer brakes earn their keep.
Consult official documentation for exact figures.
