lct threshold 23/24 Page 87

For the 2023–24 financial year in Australia, the Luxury Car Tax thresholds are $89,332 for fuel‑efficient cars (<= 7.0 L/100 km) and $76,950 for other vehicles.

LCT is charged at 33% on the portion of the GST‑inclusive vehicle price above the relevant threshold.

It includes factory options and dealer‑fitted accessories at delivery, but excludes rego, CTP and stamp duty.

If you’re flirting with the line, a fancy paint colour or sunroof can tip you over—thrilling, until the bill arrives.

This is general info only; confirm with the ATO or your dealer’s business manager before signing anything.
