ldv t60 vs triton Page 5

LDV T60 vs Mitsubishi Triton is the classic bargain blaster versus proven workhorse showdown in ute-land.

LDV T60 pros: lower drive-away pricing, heaps of kit for the coin, a punchy bi-turbo diesel, and a long warranty (7 years in AU); cons: less polished ride/handling, cabin refinement that’s more hi-vis than high-end, a smaller dealer network and softer resale.

Mitsubishi Triton pros: rock-solid reliability rep, better off-road tune and safety tech in many trims, a huge dealer/aftermarket footprint, and up to a 10-year warranty if dealer-serviced; cons: usually pricier, tighter rear seat on some generations, and some variants tow less than headline rivals.

Both will lug tools all week and hit the tracks on Sunday, but test them loaded and unloaded—their manners change faster than the weather in the High Country.

If you prioritise upfront value and features, the LDV flatters your wallet; if you want long-term peace of mind and easy servicing almost anywhere, the Triton keeps life simple.

Either way, check servicing costs, real payload on the door sticker, and insurance before you sign.
