ldv v80 vs deliver 9

Two LDV vans, one decision: the veteran V80 versus the newer Deliver 9—like choosing between a sturdy old esky and a modern fridge with cupholders.

• Pros: Generally cheaper to buy, simple 2.5‑litre diesel, proven workhorse, easy to wrench on.
• Cons: Older platform and safety tech, manual only in most trims, fewer driver‑assist features, cabin feels last decade.

• Pros: More modern 2.0‑litre diesel with better refinement, available auto, bigger body/roof options, stronger safety kit (AEB, lane alerts), nicer cabin.
• Cons: Costs more, larger footprint for city work, real‑world economy depends on load and aero.

Pick based on budget, size needs and how much you value modern safety and an automatic—your back (and left knee) will have opinions.
