ldv v gwm Page 5

LDV vs GWM is the battle of bargain bruisers: value-first utes and SUVs that do the job without emptying the esky.

• LDV: Pros — sharp drive-away pricing, big cabins and payload-friendly utes; Cons — interiors feel more utilitarian and ride refinement can be patchy on rough Aussie B-roads.
• GWM: Pros — more polished tech and safety kit (especially in Haval SUVs) and tidy road manners; Cons — some models feel less workhorse-tough and real-world fuel economy can wander when loaded.

Both brands have long warranties and expanding dealer networks, but resale isn’t their party trick, so buy with eyes open and a calculator handy.

Shortlist them, test-drive back-to-back, then stalk deals on Tradingpost to see which spec and sticker price actually smiles back.
