lexus bmw competitor Page 25

Lexus absolutely competes with BMW across the showroom. Think IS vs 3 Series, the now‑discontinued GS or ES vs 5 Series, LS vs 7 Series, UX/NX/RX/LX vs X1/X3/X5/X7, and LC vs 8 Series. Lexus brings serene cabins, outstanding reliability and thrifty hybrids, but isn’t as razor‑edged to drive and offers fewer spicy powertrains. BMW serves up benchmark handling, lovely straight‑sixes and clever driver tech, though rides can be firm and options can inflate the bill faster than a footy pie queue. If you want hush-and-plush with low drama, Lexus leans your way; if you crave corner-carving charisma, BMW’s your dance partner. Test the specific trims back-to-back and watch the option packs—they’re the real plot twist.
