lithium battery review australia Page 37

For camping and 4WD in Australia, a 12V LiFePO4 is the current champ—plenty of grunt, light weight, and fewer tantrums than your old AGM. A solid 100Ah unit should deliver ~100A continuous discharge, ~95Ah usable, 10–13 kg weight, and 2,000–4,000+ cycles to 80%. Look for a sturdy BMS with low‑temp charge cut-off, cell balancing, and short‑circuit protection, plus honest specs and prismatic cells. New pricing lands around AUD $400–$1,000 for quality 100Ah units; used deals typically sit near $250–$600 if the seller’s not dreaming. Cheap no-names can sag under load, overstate capacity, and go missing in cold weather; reputable local brands back claims with real warranties. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
