little cars Page 5

Ah, the eternal charm of little cars—those nimble, economical munchkins that make parking a breeze and fuel stops less frequent. Typically, these pocket rockets boast engines under 1.5 litres, deliver around 100-120 kW of power, and happily sip petrol at about 5-6 L/100km. Popular models include the Suzuki Swift, Mazda2, and Toyota Yaris, all sprightly performers in urban jungles. New, expect to shell out anywhere between $15,000 to $25,000 AUD, while used gems can be snapped up for under $10,000 if you're patient. Check out Tradingpost or CarShowroom for a dive into the small-car wonderland. Remember, though, size isn't everything—consult official specs for exact figures before you commit to your new pocket-sized chariot.
