Chasing your Ls in QLD? You’ll need to be at least 16 and complete PrepL (the online learning and assessment) or pass the multiple‑choice road rules test at a transport customer service centre.
Bring proper ID, pass the eyesight check, and pay the fee, then you’ll get a learner licence to start supervised practice.
If you’re under 25, you’ll need to log 100 hours (including 10 at night) before the practical test; 25 or over, no logbook required.
Stick on L plates, keep your BAC at 0.00, and always drive with a suitably licensed supervisor—no solo heroics.
Do that, and you’re on the road to eventual P‑plate glory, preferably without mowing down any witches’ hats.
