mazda 3 recommended fuel australia Page 2

In Australia, the Mazda 3’s petrol engines are tuned for 91 RON unleaded, and E10 (up to 10% ethanol) is fine for the Skyactiv‑G 2.0/2.5.

If you’ve got the rarer Skyactiv‑X X20, it prefers 95 RON premium—save the cheap stuff for the lawn mower.

Running 95 or 98 in the non‑X engines won’t hurt, but don’t expect fireworks beyond a lighter wallet.

Older diesel variants simply want ultra‑low‑sulphur diesel and a sensible right foot.

Consult official documentation for exact figures.
