The 2023 Mazda BT-50’s interior is the ute equivalent of putting on a clean shirt for Bunnings—still tough, just tidier than you expect. You get a 9.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, decent ergonomics, and clear dials borrowed from its Isuzu cousin. Lower trims are hard-wearing cloth and plastics; higher grades (like GT/SP) add leather-accented upholstery and nicer trim pieces without pretending to be a limo. Dual-cab space is adult-friendly up front and upright-but-usable in the rear, with handy storage nooks for the everyday clutter. It’s quiet enough at a cruise for a ladder-frame truck, though road roar and a jiggle remind you it’s built to work, not waft.
