mazda m hybrid system Page 8

Mazda’s M Hybrid is a mild-hybrid setup, not a cape-wearing EV superhero.

It uses a belt‑integrated starter‑generator, a small lithium‑ion battery (24V or 48V, model‑dependent), and regenerative braking to harvest energy, smooth stop‑start, and give a light shove off the line.

Think of it as a fuel-saving sidekick that trims consumption by a few percent and makes traffic creep less grumpy.

It won’t drive on electricity alone, but it will make the engine feel keener and quieter when it restarts.

You’ll see it in Mazda3 and CX‑30 (24V), and in the larger rear‑drive models as M Hybrid Boost (48V).

Consult official documentation for exact figures.
