MG’s current Australian line-up sticks to the value brief: small hatch, compact SUVs, a budget sedan and a couple of EVs.
Expect new drive-away pricing roughly at MG3 hatch from $20k–$28k, ZS/ZST from $24k–$35k, MG5 sedan $25k–$35k, ZS EV $42k–$55k, and MG4 EV $40k–$60k (battery and trim depending).
Some markets have the HS medium SUV hovering around $30k–$45k new, but availability can vary—don’t be shocked if stock plays hard-to-get.
Used MGs are plentiful: older MG3s from about $8k–$18k, ZS/ZS EV and MG5 commonly $15k–$40k, MG4 EVs starting to appear around $35k–$50k. Servicing and insurance tend to be modest, which is nice, because those optional roof racks won’t pay for themselves. As ever, check local drive-away offers and warranties, then trawl Tradingpost for the ones with the tidy service books and fewer kerb kisses.
