The MG HS Essence won’t swallow a grand piano, but it will take the weekly shop and a Labrador without complaint. With the rear seats up you get about 463 L; drop them and it stretches to roughly around 1287 L. There’s a space‑saver spare under the floor on most trims, so the load height is sensible rather than heroic. The Essence badge doesn’t change capacity—just the toys—so pack with confidence. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
