MG’s recent shtick is simple: lots of kit, a long warranty, and prices that make rivals look like they charge extra for door handles. Ride and handling are tuned for comfort and city slogging—perfectly civil, just don’t expect a Sunday blast to feel like Bathurst. Cabins pack big touchscreens and generous features, though the software can be a tad laggy and materials vary from decent to “that’ll do.” Safety gear has improved fast (AEB, lane‑keep and friends on newer trims), but check the specific model year and spec. The EVs—ZS EV and MG4—offer genuinely affordable electric motoring with respectable range and painless daily manners. Ownership is sweetened by a 7‑year, unlimited‑km warranty and keen servicing costs, while resale is improving but still trails the established badges.
