mg zs review australia 2022 Page 2

The 2022 MG ZS is a cheeky little SUV that punches well above its weight in the Australian market. Sporting a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 112 kW and 210 Nm of torque, it’s not going to win any drag races, but it’s perfectly adequate for urban jaunts and weekend escapes. Pricing starts at roughly $21,000 AUD for a new base model, making it one of the more wallet-friendly options in its class. The interior is surprisingly spacious with decent infotainment, though some plastics feel a bit on the cheap side. Fuel economy hovers around 7.0 L/100km, which is reasonable but not stellar. For used options, expect prices around $15,000 to $18,000 depending on condition and mileage. If you’re after a budget-friendly compact SUV with decent features, the MG ZS is worth a gander, but don’t expect premium polish.
