Ah, the iconic Miami Vice car—no, it’s not just any flashy ride to impress the fashion police. The star vehicle was a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa that screamed 80s excess with its side strakes and pop-up headlights. Before that, the show used a 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi, but the producers switched to the Testarossa for that extra pizzazz. Expect a 4.9-litre flat-12 engine pushing around 390 horsepower, which for the era was borderline ludicrous in a TV car. If you're hunting one down in Australia, check listings on Tradingpost where prices can start from the low seven figures AUD for originals or well-maintained replicas. And remember: owning one means dealing with exotic maintenance bills that can make your wallet cry harder than Crockett’s shirt in a shootout.
