mitsubishi eclipse cross 2023 review australia Page 2

The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross in Australia is the comfy, easygoing small SUV that would rather smooth out potholes than set lap records.

The 1.5‑litre turbo petrol and CVT combo is relaxed around town, but push it and the rev flare reminds you it’s more cardigan than track suit; the available PHEV adds quiet EV commuting and lower running costs if you charge at home.

Cabin quality is solid, the driving position is friendly, and safety tech is generous for the money; the infotainment is fine, not flashy, and space is decent rather than cavernous.

Pros: cushy ride, tidy urban manners, long Australian warranty (if you service by the book), and sharp value on deals.

Cons: CVT drone when hurried, average boot versatility, and the petrol’s thirst rises if you’re heavy‑footed.
