Victoria's most expensive number plates are the stuff of legend among vanity plate collectors. The crown jewel is the iconic "6" plate, which reportedly sold for a staggering AUD 2.5 million. Other single-digit plates and rare combinations like "9" or "1" also fetch eye-watering sums. These plates are prized for their exclusivity and status symbol appeal.
If you're curious, Tradingpost or CarShowroom sometimes list unique plates, but be ready to empty your wallet. Official government auctions are where the real action happens.
