mx 30 hybrid review Page 2

The Mazda MX-30 Hybrid is the quirky small SUV that turns heads with its freestyle rear doors, then politely asks you not to bring too much luggage. Under the bonnet sits a 2.0‑litre four‑cylinder with a mild‑hybrid assist, good for about 114 kW and 200 Nm through a six‑speed auto to the front wheels—more “smooth flat white” than double espresso. Expect real‑world economy around ~6.5 L/100 km if you’re not pretending every on‑ramp is Bathurst. The cabin’s eco‑chic (hello cork trim and recycled fabrics), the tech is decent, but the back seat and boot are on the cosy side. Ride and steering are tidy; pace is merely adequate, which suits city schleps and school runs. New examples typically sit in the mid-$30k to mid-$40k AUD range, with used cars dipping into the low-$20ks depending on kilometres and trim. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
