new car delays Page 2

Waiting for a new car in Australia? Join the club and bring snacks. Delays come from a cocktail of semiconductor shortages, shipping bottlenecks and demand that spiked like a kookaburra on espresso. Popular hybrids, utes and niche specs can stretch from weeks to many months, while some EVs and mainstream hatches are finally easing. To speed things up, chase in-stock or demonstrators, be flexible on colour and options, and widen your dealer radius. Get a written ETA, confirm price protection, and ask about loan cars if the wait drags on. If patience runs out, late‑model used cars on Tradingpost can bridge the gap without too many compromises.
