new car delivery time australia Page 2

Short answer: in Australia right now, delivery times range from immediate (in-stock/demos) to roughly 2–6 months for mainstream models, and 6–12 months for niche, luxury or custom orders.

Popular hybrids and EVs often sit in the 3–6 month queue, though some trims pop up sooner if you’re flexible on colour and options.

Delays are mostly down to factory allocation, shipping slots, and the odd parts bottleneck—less dramatic than last year, but not entirely cured.

If you want it yesterday, ring multiple dealers, ask about cancelled orders, look interstate, or consider a near‑new car on Tradingpost.

Order exactly what you want? Lovely—just expect a wait long enough to memorise the owner’s manual.
