new car waiting times australia Page 5

New car wait times in Australia have mostly settled down, but it’s still a bit of a lucky dip. Many mainstream models are available off the lot, while popular hybrids and utes can mean months rather than weeks. Global shipping and factory allocations are the bottlenecks now, not chips, so timing varies wildly by brand, trim and colour. If you need a car soon, chase in‑stock VINs, cancelled orders, or demo/near‑new listings on Tradingpost; flexibility on spec can chop the queue dramatically. Factory orders are fine, just expect extra months and shifting ETAs.
