In Australia, the “new MG electric car” for 2023 is the MG4 hatch, finally making small EVs feel properly attainable.

It sits on a dedicated rear-drive EV platform with multiple battery options and real-world range of roughly up to 450 km, depending on spec and driving.

Expect brisk performance in the mid grades, and a spicy dual-motor variant for the lead-footed among us.

DC fast charging means quick top-ups over a coffee stop, and the cabin packs the modern kit without the disco fog.

Australian pricing kicked off around the high-$30Ks AUD, with better-equipped versions costing more—still sharp by EV standards.
