new south wales driver license Page 2

In New South Wales, your driver licence comes via Transport for NSW (through Service NSW), and the journey goes L → P1 → P2 → Full.

You start with a Driver Knowledge Test for your Learner, then a practical driving test for P1, the Hazard Perception Test to progress, and eventually a full licence if you keep your nose clean.

P-platers cop the sensible stuff: zero BAC, phone bans, and plate/vehicle restrictions—because physics doesn’t care how confident you feel after Maccas.

Details and fees change, so check the current requirements before booking; that’s the basic map to legal motoring in NSW.
