new x trail review Page 2

The new Nissan X-Trail finally feels like the family SUV that kept its gym membership—chunky outside, pleasantly plush inside.

The 2.5 petrol is honest but the CVT can drone when you prod it; the e-POWER with e-4ORCE is smoother, torquier, and does the EV feel without plug-in faff.

Space is generous, the cabin storage is properly thoughtful, and an optional third row will suit kids or very patient adults.

Tech is bang up to date, the safety kit is attentive rather than bossy, and the ride is tuned for school runs and country lanes, not hero laps.

Running costs are sensible and resale should be strong because it’s a Nissan doing exactly what Australians ask of it.

Shortlist it, check Tradingpost for sharp deals, and drive both powertrains to see which temperament matches yours.
