Nissan Future Value is the motoring equivalent of ordering dessert first: lower monthly repayments now, a big decision later. You get a guaranteed future value (GFV) set upfront, then at term’s end you can upgrade, keep (by paying/refinancing the GFV), or return the car—provided you’ve stayed within the kilometre cap and fair wear-and-tear. It’s neat for budgeting and swapping into a shiny new Nissan on cue, but you’re trading flexibility for those conditions, and the total cost can be similar—or higher—than a plain loan. Miss the service schedule or blow the kms and that GFV gets about as solid as pavlova in the rain. Sensible? Yes, if you like predictability and plan to change cars on the dot; less so if you rack up long highway hauls or fancy keeping the car forever.
