nrma new for old Page 9

“New for old” with NRMA is the promise that if your car is written off or stolen, you get a brand‑new replacement of the same make and model—subject to eligibility.

The fine print matters: typically you must be the first registered owner, the car must be within a set age/odometer window, and the exact model must still be available in Australia.

If it’s discontinued or unobtainable, expect an equivalent or a payout based on agreed/market value rather than a unicorn hunt at the dealership.

It’s usually part of comprehensive cover and can include on‑road costs in the replacement; exclusions and caps apply, so read the PDS before you start measuring for new floormats.
