nsw rebate ev Page 3

Short answer: the NSW EV rebate is no more—both the $3,000 rebate and the stamp duty exemption ended on 1 January 2024.

So if you’re shopping now, don’t wait for a cheque; instead, look to federal perks like the FBT exemption for eligible novated-leased EVs and low running costs to ease the sting.

There are still occasional grants for businesses and chargers, but private buyers currently get no state cash splash.

Prices on new and used EVs have shifted a lot since the rebates ended, so shop around—and keep an eye on Service NSW in case policies change faster than a traffic light drag.

In the meantime, enjoy the silent take-off and the smugness surcharge, both included as standard.
